Why it matters

Inquiries are the most oversold item in credit repair.

They matter least of the things on your report, and they are the thing people are most often charged to remove. Do it yourself.

Two years on file, twelve months scored

Most scoring models only weigh inquiries from the last year, though they stay visible for two.

Rate shopping is usually bundled

Multiple auto or mortgage pulls in a short window typically count as one. Card applications do not work that way.

Questions

Before you start.

Will removing inquiries raise my score a lot?

Usually not much. Inquiries are a minor factor — this guide is honest about that rather than selling it as a fix.

Can I dispute inquiries I did authorise?

No. Challenging legitimate inquiries is not what this is for.

Is this free?

Yes.
